#RAISE UR VOICE

On June 27, 2023, the Physical Science Association LUMIERE hosted a significant program titled "RAISE YOUR VOICE" in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Human Trafficking. The event aimed to raise awareness about these critical issues through a one-minute speech competition conducted in Malayalam.

The competition brought together participants from various disciplines, with one member from each of the five optional subjects along with MEd students. Each speaker had the opportunity to express their thoughts, concerns, and solutions regarding drug abuse and human trafficking, delivering powerful messages in just one minute.

The atmosphere was charged with passion and determination as each participant took the stage to convey their insights. The event not only highlighted the importance of speaking out against these societal issues but also encouraged students to become advocates for change.

The winner of the competition was Renjitha R J from the Social Science department, whose speech resonated deeply with the audience and judges alike. Haritha from the Malayalam department secured the second prize, while a participant from the MEd department took home the third prize. Their impactful speeches showcased the talent and commitment of students to address pressing social challenges.

The "Raise Your Voice" program was a meaningful and engaging way to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Human Trafficking, empowering students to voice their concerns and contribute to the ongoing fight against these issues. It served as a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in creating a safer and healthier society.
